Boris Omelnitskiy

President of the Interactive Advertising Bureau Russia

Boris Omelnitskiy is the president of the Interactive Advertising Bureau Russia, the national association for interactive marketing, affiliated with worldwide IAB trade association.

The IAB Russia represents leading interactive companies on Russian market. Its members include Yandex, Rambler/Afisha, Google Russia, Begun, RuTube, AdFox, RosBusinessConsulting, Internest, TNS Russia, ComScore, Media group JV, Grape media.

To support the growth of the interactive advertising and marketing industries, the IAB Russia participates in global research, provides technical standards and best practices, supports international relations and events and cooperates with local Russian public marketing and advertising associations for educational projects and events.

Mr. Omelnitskiy was elected like IAB Russia president in September 2011. Before it Mr. Omelnitskiy spent seven years at Begun company as a Chief Operation Officer responsible for strategic development, operating and business process management. From 2003 till 2004 worked as a Chief Marketing Officer in Russian retail network White Wind – DIGITAL. Was responsible for offline and online advertising strategy, marketing researches, relations and co-promotion with vendors.

During last 14 years have been developing the infrastructure and standards of Russian digital marketing by holding a sectoral conferences as еTarget, RIF, RIW, CIB and participating in work of IAB Russia. Also giving courses of Internet marketing in GUU (State University of Management), HSE (High School of Economic) and Moscow Business School.

Mr. Omelnitskiy is a co-author of the book "Digital context advertising" (2009, Moscow).

Mr. Omelnitsky received a Higher education as an engineer at Moscow Aviation Institute – Technical University (MAI) in 1988-1994. In 2004-2006 he studied for an MBA degree in MIRBIS (Moscow International Higher Business School) with Strategic Management specialty.

Lives in Moscow, Russia. Married, has three children. Practices yachting and sail racing.
